《我彌留之際》As I Lay Dying
Nathan B. In his award-wining novel "As I Lay Dying", William Faulkner tells the tragic story of the Bundrens, a Southern family who must travel across Mississippi to buy their recently deceased wife and mother, Addie. Unfortunately, they meet a multitude of obstacles, both physical and psychological, along the way. Due to the different personalities and philosophies of each member of the family, they find themselves in constant disagreement and unable to work together. Thus, a family that should be united in the wake od their matriarch's death drifts even farther apart than they were while she was still alive.
點(diǎn)評(píng):過渡、句子結(jié)構(gòu)和用詞都非常出色,如“Unfortunately, they meet a multitude of obstacles, both physical and psychological, along the way.” Nathan 用了一種讓作者 Faulkner 可能都會(huì)為之驕傲的寫作風(fēng)格來駕馭這段內(nèi)容。
