《哈克貝利·費恩歷險記》The adventures of Huckleberry Finn
Alaizah K. The theme that sacrifice is necessary for goals to be obtained occurs in Mark Twain's classic novel The Adventure of Huckleberry Finn. Huck Finn, a carefree, compassionate young adult, befriends a runaway slave and assists him in his quest for freedom. The two companions begin their journey traveling down the Mississippi River, in search of a free state. Although Huck enjoys his thrilling adventure, he was forced to leave the security of his home and risk punishment or even death for illegally leading Jim to a free state. It was not only necessary, but also heroic of Huck to take those risks and make such sacrifice for the sake of his friend's happiness.
