1. 希望的表達
I hope he is better.
我希望他比以前好些了。
這類句子還可以表示“希望事情如愿”，例如：In this I hope for your help.這件事我希望能得到你的幫助。Hope for the best and prepare for the worst.希望得到最好結果，準備應付最壞的情況。再比如：I hope to have finished the work by now.真希望現在工作已經結束了。We can't hope to win an easy victory.我們不能指望輕易取勝。I hope very much to go to the exhibition.我非常希望去參觀展覽會。

expect含有“預期，期望”的意思，表示預期要發生的情況，且有一定的根據，肯定的程度比hope高，后可接名詞、代詞、that從句、不定式或帶不定式的復合結構。

crave表示“強烈的，急切的，持久的欲望”，尤其是身體方面的欲望，后接名詞或介詞for。例如：crave fresh air 渴望呼吸新鮮空氣；crave for a drink 渴望喝一些。

desire是“渴望，期望，希望”的意思，與wish和want同義。desire比wish莊重，且意味強，是熱切期望（wish earnestly）之意；比want的用法正式，口語中不太用desire。

big-bone指骨架很粗大；嬌小則說petite。

female drought或female extinction是更夸張一點的講法。
She is vertically challenged.
她向她的身高挑戰。
這樣的說法就是說人家很矮的意思。什么什么challenged就是說有某方面的障礙，如mentally challenged就是說心智障礙，也就是低能兒的意思
