第27課： 鴿子和橄欖枝
Do you know the story of the dove and the olive branch?
你知道鴿子和橄欖枝的故事嗎？
After Adam and Eve are driven out of the Garden of Eden,
在亞當和夏娃被逐出伊甸園之后，
they have their daughters and sons,and their daughters and sons have their own daughters and sons and so on.
他們有了他們的兒女，他們的兒女又有了他們的兒女，如此延續下去。
Then,God says,"There are too many bad people in the world.
后來，上帝說：“世界上的壞人太多了。
They must die in the Great Flood,all except Noah,because he is a good man."
除了諾亞之外，他們必須死于大洪水，因為諾亞是個好人。”
Noah makes a large wooden ship and floats with his family in the Great Flood for a hundred and fifty days.
諾亞做了一艘大木船，他和他的家人在大洪水上漂了一百五十天。
One day the rain stops.
一天，雨停了。
Noah lets a dove fly out of the ship.
諾亞讓一只鴿子飛出船艙。
In the evening the dove comes back with a green olive branch in its mouth,
晚上,鴿子嘴中叼著一枝綠色橄欖枝回來了,
showing that land is near and the danger is over.
表示陸地就在附近，危險結束了。
Since then,people think both the dove and the olive branch mean a peaceful land and a peaceful life.
從此以后，人們認為鴿子和橄欖枝象征著和平的樂土和和平的生活。
They use a picture of a dove with an olive branch in its mouth to show their love for peace.
他們用嘴里叼著橄欖枝的鴿子的圖畫來表示他們對和平的熱愛。
Now I know the story.

I would love to raise doves and plant an olive tree.
