Jenny and Brian are on their way to school.
珍妮和布賴恩在去上學(xué)的路上。
They are walking, because it's sunny.
他們在步行，因?yàn)樘鞖馇缋省?br />"This is fun," says Brian. "Usually we take the school bus."
“這很好玩，”布賴恩說。“通常我們乘校車。”
"I want to show you the neighbourhood this morning," says Jenny.
“今天早上我想領(lǐng)你到周圍看看，”珍妮說。
"The bus goes too fast. When you walk, you can see things better."
“校車行駛的很快。當(dāng)你步行時，你可以好好看看。”
They come to a corner.
他們到了一個角落。
"Do we go this way now?" asks Brian.
“我們現(xiàn)在走這條路嗎？”布賴恩問。
He is pointing to the right.
他指著右邊。
"No, turn left," says Jenny.
“不，向左拐，”珍妮說。
"Then cross the street."
“然后穿過那條街。”
They look left, then right, and cross the street.
他們向左看，然后向右看，穿過大街。
"I like going this way," says Jenny.
“我喜歡走這條路，”珍妮說。
"We will go past some of my favourite shops."
“我們將走過一些我喜歡的商店。”
Soon, they walk past a big store window.
不久，他們走過一個大的商店櫥窗。
Brian stops. He sees bread, cakes and donuts.
布賴恩停了下來。他看到面包、蛋糕和油炸圈餅。
"It's the bakery!" he says. "I'm hungry."
“這是面包店！”他說。“我餓了。”
Let's go in and buy something!
讓我們進(jìn)去買些東西吧！
We can't stop now, Brian.
布賴恩，我們現(xiàn)在不能停下。
"Come on! We don't want to be late for school," says Jenny.
“快點(diǎn)！我們不想上學(xué)遲到，”珍妮說。
"We'll come here this afternoon."
“今天下午我們還會到這兒。”
Soon, they pass another window.
很快，他們經(jīng)過另一個櫥窗。
It's the bookstore. This time, Jenny stops.
這是一家書店。這一次，珍妮停了下來。
"This is my favourite store. It has so many good things to read."
“這是我最喜歡的店。它有很多可閱讀的好東西。”
Jenny stands and looks at all of the books in the window.
珍妮站著，看著櫥窗里所有的書。
Remember, Jenny? We can't stop. Let's go to school!
