You give it what it needs.

All plants need water and sunshine.

Why do plants need sunlight?
為什么植物需要陽(yáng)光？
Plants use sunlight to make food.
植物用陽(yáng)光制造養(yǎng)分。
They use the food to grow and to make seeds.
他們有養(yǎng)分才能生長(zhǎng)，才能產(chǎn)生種子。
Put your plant near a window.
把你的植物放在窗戶附近。
Why do plants need water?
為什么植物需要水？
Don't forget to water your plant!

Leaves use water to make food.
葉子用水來(lái)制造養(yǎng)分。
Some plants need lots of water.

These plants live in very dry places—deserts.

They don't need much water.

They keep water in their stems!

Why do plants need glass?

People sometimes cover plants.
人們有時(shí)將植物罩著。
Why? Because sometimes the weather is too cold.

In spring, people put covers over plants to keep them warm at night.
春天，人們將罩子罩在植物外面，以保證它們夜里不受凍。
The covers are special boxes made of glass.
罩子是用玻璃做的特殊的盒子。
What's glass? Windows are made of glass.
玻璃是什么？窗戶就是玻璃做的。
Some plants grow in deserts.
有的植物生長(zhǎng)在沙漠里。
What's she doing?

She's watering her garden.

Gardens are full of plants!
