二、文章講解：

I had a letter from my sister yesterday. She lives in Nigeria. In her letter, she said that she would come to England next year. If she comes, she will get a surprise. We are now living in a beautiful new house in the country. Work on it had begun before my sister left. The house was completed five months ago. In my letter, I told her that she could stay with us. The house has many large rooms and there is a lovely garden. It is a very modern house, so it looks strange to some people. It must be the only modern house in the district.

賓語從句掌握的角度：
1.時(shí)態(tài)部分：
1)如果主句的時(shí)態(tài)是一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)，賓語從句的時(shí)態(tài)根據(jù)具體情況來確定，可以是_________時(shí)態(tài)。
I don’t think (that) you are right.
Please tell us where we’ll go fishing tomorrow.
Do you know when Mr. Smith moved here?
2)如果主句的時(shí)態(tài)是一般過去時(shí)，賓語從句只能用相應(yīng)的_________時(shí)態(tài)（一般過去時(shí)， 過去進(jìn)行時(shí)， 過去將來時(shí)，過去完成時(shí)）。例如：
He told me that he was born in Beijing in 1992.
He said that he would go back to the U.S. soon.
2.賓語從句的引導(dǎo)詞
1.陳述句充當(dāng)賓語從句時(shí)，用that引導(dǎo)，that無詞義，在口語或非正式文體中常省略。如：
My teacher said I was a good boy.老師說我是個(gè)好男孩。
2.當(dāng)由一般疑問句充當(dāng)賓語從句時(shí)，用if或whether引導(dǎo)，意為“是否”。如：
(1) Is Jim a good student? 　I don’t know
I don’t know if /whether Jim is a good student.
(2) Does Kate get up early? Do you know?
Do you know if /whether Kate gets up early?
注意：只能用whether不用if 的三種情況
一般情況下，if 和whether可以互換，但以下3種 情況只能用whether：
①與or not連用：
He asked me whether or not I was coming. Let me know whether you can come or not.
②在介詞之后：
It depends on whether it is going to rain. I worry about whether I hurt her feelings.
③在不定式之前：
We haven’t decided whether to go there. I don’t know whether to accept or refuse.

3.賓語從句的語序必須是陳述語序
句式 連詞 語序 例句
陳述句 That 不變 I think that we can be good friends.
一般疑問句 if/whether 改為陳述語序 I can’t remember if I posted the letter.
特殊疑問句 特殊疑問詞 改為陳述語序 He asked who was our English teacher.
