Nick: Recently I encountered some words that's really confusing, like Puritanism, Protestantism and Catholicism. Do they all belong to Christianity?

Jim: Yes, these are the different denominations.

Nick: So what's the difference?

Jim: Wow, that's a long story. There is said to be thousands of them. Basically they have different doctrines, which means, their interpretation of the Bible is different.
吉姆：這說起來就話長了。據說這樣的教派有上千個。他們主要是教義不同，也就是對《圣經》的解讀不同。
Nick: Do I need to remember all of them?
尼克：這些教派我都要記住嗎？
Jim: That would be nearly impossible, even for someone within that faith. But the ones that you need to keep in mind are Protestantism, Catholicism and Eastern Orthodoxy. These are the three main branches of Christianity.
吉姆：即便對信仰基督教的人來說要都記住也幾乎不可能。但你需要掌握的是新教、天主教和東正教。這些是基督教的三大支脈。
