Tom: Do you want to go to the movies tonight?
湯姆：今晚你想去看電影嗎？
Lily: Actually. I just saw a horror movie last night, and it scared me half to death.
莉莉：實際上，我昨晚剛看了部驚悚電影，把我嚇了個半死。
Tom: Well, we could see something different, like a detective film.
湯姆：嗯，我們可以看風格不同的片子嘛，比如偵探片。
Lily: I don't really like detective stories. They always make me so nervous.
莉莉：我不怎么喜歡看偵探故事，總讓我很緊張。
Tom: How about a comedy?
湯姆：那么喜劇片呢？
Lily: No. I don't think comedies today are natural or cheerful.
莉莉：不喜歡，我覺得現(xiàn)在的喜劇片演得不自然也不好笑。
Tom: How about a love story then?
湯姆：那看個愛情故事怎么樣？
Lily: No, romance is boring.
莉莉：不好，愛情故事都很乏味的。
Tom : I hope you don't think our romance is boring.
湯姆：我希望你不會覺得我們倆的愛情故事也乏味吧。
Lily: No, just others'. Our romance story is real and exciting.
莉莉：不會的，僅指別人的。我們倆的愛情既真實又讓人激動不已。
Tom: Well, western. a venture. war or science fiction movies, which of them do you like best?
湯姆：好吧，西部片、探險片、戰(zhàn)爭片或者科幻片，你最喜歡哪種？
Lily: Science fiction, I think.
莉莉：科幻片吧。
Tom : Oh, sure. Well have a son who's a scientist.
湯姆：哦，當然可以。我們將來的兒子就會是一位科學家。
Lily: Stop daydreaming!
莉莉：別做白日夢了！
Tom : I'm full of confidence.
湯姆：我倒?jié)M懷信心呢。
