在今天的課上，我們要來學習的詞語是acquaint。如果您想表示某人自己想知道、獲悉、了解某事，您可以用到這個詞語。那么，如何使用這個詞語來正確表達這個意思呢？請看下面的例句：

e.g. I want to acquaint myself with your strengths and weaknesses if I need to hire you. 如果我需要雇傭你的話，我想知道你有哪些優(yōu)點和缺點。

e.g. He has got to acquaint himself with the American history if he wants to write the article. 如果他想要寫這篇文章，他必須了解美國歷史。

在以上的例句中，我們可以看到都使用到了acquaint oneself with something這個結構。Acquaint oneself with something means to learn about something himself. Acquaint 后面跟反身代詞。

在Example-1中，acquaint myself with your strengths and weaknesses中的acquaint后面緊跟反身代詞：myself，介詞with后面跟并列的名詞短語：your strengths and weaknesses。

在Example-2中，acquaint himself with the American history 中的acquaint后面緊跟反身代詞himself，介詞with后面跟名詞短語：the American history。

在此，給您敲個警鐘——用acquaint來表示“（某人）自己了解某事”，一定是使用acquaint oneself with something這個固定的搭配模式。切記介詞使用with，勿用其它介詞。
