今天是我們的第一節課。在第一節課的學習中，我們要來學習的詞語是：acquaint。如果您想表示某人使他人熟悉某事或知曉某事，您可以用到acquaint這個詞語。如何使用來它來表達這個意思呢？請看下面的例句：
e.g. Let me acquaint you with the facts. 讓我把事實告訴你。
e.g. You have got to make your efforts to acquaint the public with their rights under the new law. 你必須努力讓公眾知道新法律賦予他們的權利。
在以上例句中，我們可以看到都使用了acquaint someone with something這個結構。
在Example-1中，acquaint you with the facts。Acquaint后跟人稱代詞賓格：you，介詞with后跟的是名詞短語：the facts。
在Example-2中，acquaint the public with their rights under the new law。 Acquaint后面跟的是名詞：the public。 介詞with后面跟的是帶有介詞短語限制的名詞短語：their rights under the new law 。
在此，給大家敲個警鐘——用acquaint來表示“使某人知曉某事”一定是用acquaint someone with something這個固定的搭配模式。切記介詞使用with，勿用其它介詞。
