Jack: Hi. long time no see!
杰克：嗨，好長時間沒見了！
Kate: Hello, how are you?
凱特：你好，你怎么樣啊？
Jack: Not bad. Not as good as you seem though. You're pretty happy. What's going on?
杰克：不錯。不過沒你看上去那么好。你這么高興。有什么事嗎？
Kate: Yes, I am. I passed the GRE) and I'm feeling good about it.
凱特：是啊，我是高興。我通過了GRE考試，現在感覺很不錯。
Jack: That is wonderful news! It's too good to be true.
杰克：真是一個好消息啊！這太好了，簡直讓人難以相信是真的。
Kate: I'm off to the US to study law next month at Columbia University in New York. I have always wanted to go there, and now I have this big chance.
凱特：我下個月就要到美國紐約的哥倫比亞大學讀法律了。我一直都想去，現在終于有機會了。
Jack: Sounds very exciting! You must be thrilled,
杰克：聽起來真是令人興奮啊！你一定很激動吧。
Kate: I am. I can hardly sleep these days.
凱特：是啊。這些天我都睡不著覺。
Jack: Make sure you write or call or send me e-mails from New York.
杰克：你一定要從紐約給我寫信、打電話或者發電子郵件啊。
Kate: Of course. I have my camera. so you'll be getting lots of e-mails with lots of pictures.
凱特：當然了。我帶著我的相機，到時候給你發許多帶照片的電子郵件。
