大家好，歡迎來到小強(qiáng)英語。應(yīng)該有不少朋友和小強(qiáng)一樣，喜歡吃“柿子”這種水果。可是這么常見的水果，遇到老外，是不是不知道怎么說呢？今天我們就來學(xué)習(xí)一下“柿子”的英語，那就是persimmon。A persimmon is a soft, orange fruit that looks like a large tomato.長得像大大的西紅柿、軟軟的、橘黃色的水果。我們來聽下例句：

Like the tomato, persimmons are not popularly considered to be berries, but in terms of botanical morphology the fruit is in fact a berry.
跟西紅柿一樣，人們一般不把柿子當(dāng)作漿果。但從植物形態(tài)學(xué)上來講，柿子事實(shí)上是漿果。

有些朋友喜歡吃曬干了的柿子，咱中文叫“柿餅”，在英語中，我們可以說那是dried persimmon。而至于中文里用來指人的“軟柿子”，則不能說是soft persimmon，而可以用pushover。比如“我人好心軟，但并非軟柿子”，可以說：I’m a kind and sympathetic man, but no pushover.
