小巫見大巫----pale in comparison with/to sb./sth.

大家好，歡迎來到小強(qiáng)英語。在漢語當(dāng)中，我們有“小巫見大巫”的說法，其實(shí)就是“相形見絀”。那“小巫見大巫”這個(gè)意思用英語怎么說呢？我們可以用這個(gè)表達(dá)：pale in comparison with/to sb./sth.。注意這里的pale是一個(gè)不及物動(dòng)詞，而不作形容詞，意思是“失色，變得黯淡”。比如：

I thought I had a frightening accident, but mine pales in comparison with yours.
我原以為我遭遇了一場可怕的事故，但是我的經(jīng)歷跟你的比起來簡直是小巫見大巫了。
