Feifei: What do you mean by a die-hard Fulham fan? 福爾漢姆的die-hard粉絲是什么意思？

William: Well, the phrase die-hard is used to describe people who believe in something a bit old-fashioned or out-of-date but they won't change their beliefs.

Feifei: Die-hard 也可以用來形容某個人堅持追隨一個在他人眼里看來已經過時的信念或看法。So is your dad old-fashioned then William? 這么說你老爸是一個傳統的人嘍？

William: No, no. This is actually a new meaning of the phrase die-hard. When I say my dad is a die-hard Fulham fan, I mean that he would support Fulham no matter what! 不，不是的。其實我們現在說的這個意思是die-hard這個短語的新含義。我說我爸是福爾漢姆的die-hard粉絲，意思是說他總是全力支持福爾漢姆隊。

Feifei: A die-hard 通常指一個球隊，樂隊，歌手等等的忠實粉絲，不論發生什么，他們都堅持不變。

William: So whether Fulham win or Fulham lose my dad would still support them and go to all their games. 也就是說不管福爾漢姆隊是輸還是贏，我爸都會支持他們，并且觀看他們的每一場比賽。
