If You Snooze, You Lose! 如果你不注意, 就錯(cuò)過良機(jī)了.
A: Hey! Where did all the cake go? I haven't got any of it.
A: 嘿! 蛋糕都到哪里去了? 我一點(diǎn)都沒吃到。
B: There's no cake left. Your brother ate the last piece. If you snooze, you lose!
B: (蛋糕)都沒了。你弟弟(或哥哥)吃了最后一塊。你沒快點(diǎn)行動(dòng), 機(jī)會(huì)(此指蛋糕)就沒了啊!
有些鬧鐘上面有一個(gè)讓你可以在鬧鐘響后, 再小睡一下的按鍵。這個(gè)按鍵就叫"snooze"。所以"If you snooze, you lose." 就變成 「如果你貪睡(不注意)的話, 你就不會(huì)贏了。」的意思。念念看, 是不是押韻呢?
