1. Supervisors from the University of Califonia decided to raise the tuition by more than 2,500 dollars by next fall to bridge a budget deficit. According to a plan approved by the finance commitee of the university, the tuition will go up to around 8,000 dollars. A group of students have gathered on the campus where the supervisors were meeting, voicing their anger against the proposed pay rise, and disrupted the meeting by staying at the meeting room. The school police arrested at least 14 protesters who refused to leave, and dispersed the slogan chanting crowd.
