《天安門詩抄·五言詩·其二》
天驚一聲雷，地傾絕其維。
頓時九州寂，無語皆淚水。
相告不成聲，欲言淚復垂。
聽時不敢信，信時心已碎。
Heavenis rocked with a clap of thunder;
Earthreels, snapping its cord.1
Thenation is stunned into sudden silence;
Aswe stand mutely, tears stream forth.
Wewould speak, but find not our tongues,
Eachword broken by anguished sobs.
Hearingthe news, we dared not believe;
Believingthe news, our hearts are rent.
