A: We have released the information about Pakistani Prime Minister Sharif's visit. He will pay an official visit to China from July 3 to 8. As for whether there is any connection between the violent terrorist attack and terrorist forces in and outside China, I have made clear China's principled position. I would like to reiterate that the East Turkistan terrorist forces, which have increased collusion with international terrorist organizations, severely impair China's national security and put other countries' peace and stability in danger. China will step up cooperation with relevant countries to combat terrorist organizations, including the East Turkistan terrorist forces.

問：日前，聯合國安理會一致通過第2107號決議，決定終止根據《聯合國憲章》第七章對伊拉克采取的強制性措施。中方對此有何評論？

Q: The UN Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 2107 to terminate provisions that allowed the military enforcement of the measures against Iraq under Charter VII of the UN Charter. What is China's comment?

A: China welcomes the UN Security Council's unanimous adoption of Resolution 2107. We support the UN in playing a positive role in helping solve relevant issue. China attaches importance to developing friendly and cooperative relations with Iraq and stands ready to push for constant progress of bilateral relations on the basis of equality and mutual benefit.

Q: Reports say that the East Turkistan forces, who were involved in the civil war of Syria, were behind the violent terrorist attack in Xinjiang. Does that mean that China have common cause with Syria?

答：我愿意重申，中方一貫堅決反對一切形式的恐怖主義。近年來，“東突”恐怖勢力與國際恐怖組織不斷加強勾聯，不僅嚴重危害中國國家安全，也對其他國家的和平與穩定造成威脅。中方將繼續與有關國家進一步加強合作，共同打擊包括“東突”恐怖勢力在內的恐怖組織。

A: I want to reiterate that China is firmly opposed to all forms of terrorism. The East Turkistan terrorist forces have increased collusion with international terrorist organizations, severely impairing China's national security and puting other countries' peace and security in danger. China will step up cooperation with relevant countries to combat terrorist organizations, including the East Turkistan terrorist forces.

關于敘利亞問題，中方立場是明確的。我們尊重敘利亞人民的選擇，呼吁有關各方共同努力，推動在敘利亞盡快實現停火止暴，開啟政治對話進程，為推動政治解決敘利亞問題發揮積極和建設性作用。

China's position on the Syrian issue is clear. We respect the Syrian people's choice and call on all relevant parties to play a positive and constructive role for the political settlement of the Syrian issue by jointly helping Syria cease fire and stop violence as soon as possible and start political dialogue.

問：歐盟方面昨天表示，希望中方在處理新疆近期發生的暴力恐怖襲擊案件時提高透明度。中方對此有何評論？

Q: The EU said yesterday that China should be more transparent in handling the violent terrorist attack in Xinjiang. What is China's comment?

答：新華社已就新疆近期發生的暴力恐怖襲擊案件作了充分報道，該案事實十分清楚，性質十分明確。中歐都是恐怖主義受害方，應該堅決反對并共同打擊任何形式的恐怖襲擊行為。暴力恐怖主義是全國全疆各族人民共同的敵人，也是全人類的公敵。如果在這個問題上采取雙重標準，姑息縱容暴力恐怖勢力，到頭來只會害人又害己。任何一個負責任的政府都絕不會對暴力恐怖主義行徑坐視不管，任由其殘害無辜生命，都必須采取堅決必要措施，維護人民群眾的生命財產安全，維護民族團結和社會穩定。

A: The Xinhua News Agency has fully covered the violent terrorist attack in Xinjiang with detailed facts and explicit characterization. Both China and the EU are victims of terrorism. We should firmly oppose and jointly condemn all forms of terrorist attacks. Violent terrorism is the enemy to not only all ethnic groups in China, including Xinjiang, but also all mankind. Taking double standards and condoning violent terrorist attacks, will only harm ourselves and others. A responsible country will by no means sit watching violent terrorist forces taking innocent lives. We must take resolute and necessary measures to protect people's safety and property and safeguard national unity and social stability.
