10年3月的C-E真題令考生幾近抓狂，比如其中有一句：中國猶如中流砥柱，力挽狂瀾，使全球目光，再次聚焦于東方。如果這句話放在01年考，絕對可以稱得上難句。但是，9年之后，威風不再。讓我們一句一句分析，逐個擊破。
“中流砥柱”四字，看似嚇人，其實冷靜分析之后無非就是中國在世界經濟陷入危機時依然堅挺，起到了支柱作用之意。05年9月C-E真題中的原句：中國已成為亞歐和世界經濟發展中的積極力量；參考譯文為：China has become a positive force for the economic development of Asia, Europe and the world as a whole.這對于我們可謂是天降甘露，直接借用，即可將原句譯出：China has become a positive/major force for the economic development of the world.
繼續，“力挽狂瀾”的處理和“中流砥柱”一樣，當在考場上無法譯出精準對應的文字時只能退而求其次追求核心含義的對應。而核心含義無非就是中國挽救險惡的經濟局面，于是，我們完全可以利用09年3月E-C真題末句：some of the reforms that Franklin Roosevelt created to steer the nation out of the Great Depression.對該句稍加改動，就可以得到一句還算不賴的譯文：China has steered the nation out of the economic crisis.
之后的“使全球目光，再次聚焦于東方”其實最簡單，因為幾乎完全一樣的原文我們在06年3月C-E中已經見過：上海變化之大令世人矚目（參考譯文：Shanghai has attracted worldwide attention for its tremendous changes）。所以，再次借用就大功告成：China has attracted worldwide attention to the Orient/East again.
最后，我們只需把上述三句譯文串聯成一句完整的句子即可：China, a positive/major force for the economic development of the world, has steered the nation out of the economic crisis, therefore attracting worldwide attention to the Orient/East again.
通過對05年9月C-E，06年3月C-E 和09年3月E-C三篇真題中現成詞組和句型的借用、移植和連接，我們便把這句所謂的難句徹底攻破。關鍵是，即便考生本身完全沒有學習過“中流砥柱，力挽狂瀾”之類的表達，只要想到歷年真題的內容，依然可以從容過關。
