2010 - what a year! It not only sees the first world Expo in China, and the biggest one in history. It also marks the 60 year anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and Switzerland. That means more than 21,000 days of Sino-Swiss-friendship, a fact we can both be proud of!

2010年是多么值得期待的一年！今年，世博會將首次在中國舉行，而本屆世博會也將是史上規模最大的一屆。2010年也恰逢中國和瑞士正式建立外交關系60周年。這意味著中瑞友誼已經綿延了長達21000多天，這足以讓兩國人民為此而自豪！

With the Expo Theme - "Better City - Better Life", Expo Shanghai 2010 reflects the global concern regarding environmental issues and offers a platform to address them and exchange valuable know-how between countries. Switzerland is proud to be part of this historic event. We are ready to meet the challenge of presenting adequate, innovative and sustainable solutions related to the Expo sub-theme "rural-urban interaction" – a topic which is of great importance for Switzerland due to the geographic characteristics of our country.

以“城市，讓生活更美好”為主題的2010年上海世博會體現了全球對環境問題的關注，提供了解決問題和各國交換技術的平臺。瑞士很高興能參與這一歷史性的事件。我們已做好準備呈現豐富、創新且可持續的解決方案，以詮釋上海世博會的副主題之一——“城市與鄉村的互動”。鑒于瑞士獨特的地理特征，這一主題對于我們國家而言尤為重要。
