I think TV set was a glorious invention before computers. Through it,information across the world spreads swiftly and widely. Also,it entertains people after tedious work. It brings about a "great advance" in economic development through TV programs and commercial approaches. TV set contributes much to the creation of "Global Village". It informs people of big events happening in the world within seconds .It widens people's view through some constructive programs such as traveling fictions or history introduction. What's more,it makes people relaxed after a whole days hard labor and makes them laugh. From another perspective,however, TV set can make people,especially children, become addicted to TV series. It can harm their eyesight, mislead their viewpoint, and make them become couch-potatoes. We should use TV set more wisely, so it can be of great benefit to human beings.
我認為電視機是計算機之前最偉大的發明。通過電視機，信息快速地傳達到世界各地。此外，電視還供人們在繁重的工作之余進行消遣。通過電視節目和商業廣告，經濟也得到了巨大的進步。電視機為建立“全球村”作出了重大貢獻，它讓人們在短短幾秒鐘之內便了解到世界各地發生的重大事件。旅游雜記或歷史介紹等節目對開闊人們的視野起了建設性的作用。 更值得一提的是，它使人們在繁忙地工作了一天后得以休息，得到歡笑。但從另一方面來看， 電視也使得人們，尤其是小孩子開始迷戀上電視劇，導致視力下降，價值觀被誤導，并成為 “電視迷”。我們應該正確地使用電視，讓電視為人類帶來更多的利處。
