一根柱子的倒塌
"I pioneered the research that led to building this plantation

With those final words the plantation owner threw the plates from his table

and tied himself to one of the pillars of his home.

"Oh, stop with the platitudes!" said his wife.
"噢，別再說那些陳詞 濫調了!"他妻子說道，
"Even the press know it's just a plot to irritate you.
"就連新聞界都知道 這只是一個使你 發火的陰謀。
They just want a platform to say what they want to say!"
他們只不過需要一個 講臺來說他們 想說的東西!"
"But it's working!" the owner howled back.
"但他們的陰謀成功 了!"種植園主吼著回答 道，
"You don't understand! It's not your plight!
"你不明白!這又 不是你的困境!
My reputation has reached a plateau in the eyes of the public
在公眾眼里，我的名氣 已經達到了穩定水平了
and now everyone can throw accusations!"
現在每個人都可以 隨便指責我!"
Just then the pillar that the owner was tied to pitched forward,
就在這時種植園主 綁著的那根柱子 突然向前傾斜，
he pivoted to see what was happening

just in time to get out from under the pillar as it fell to the ground.

He said as he got up, wiping plastic pieces from his body.

But his wife was laughing.

"Oh, honey, it's as plain as day to me that this is just a bump in the road."
