Lament--leap The landfill lament The layman in town lamented the location of the landfill outside their town！
垃圾填埋帶來的悲傷 城里的外行對(duì)城外 垃圾填埋地的地點(diǎn) 感到悲傷!
Mostly because they had to fill in an old mining pit that had become a well-known swimming hole.
這主要是因?yàn)樗麄兊?填掉一個(gè)老礦坑 那地方已是一個(gè)有名 的游泳池，
A landmark for young lovers all around. Every man in town could remember leaping.

From those cliffs to impress their girlfriends. But the landholder had lost his job during recent layoffs.

And he had to sell the land for money. That's when the landfill was put in.

At first they filled the pit from the lateral side, giving a layout to the landfill that allowed people to swim for another year or so.

The landfill owners were forced to air some dirty laundry; they were dumping hazardous waste.

They were forced by law to launch a cleanup campaign that included the removal of each layer of trash.

Townsfolk were amazed at what was dumped in their backyard. Finally the landfill was removed and the mining pit was restored.

No one swam there ever again, however, because everyone was sure that the water was still polluted.
