Which do you think is more important, family or friends?

I have to say that both are important. Family is important because there are close bonds between parents and children, grandparents are parents and their children and between relatives like aunts, uncles and cousins. They are usually parents to help with problems or with finances, if that is necessary. Friends, on the other hand, are people you can often talk to more freely than relatives. If there is a problem that you cannot talk about with your parents, a friend will usually lend an ear and listen to you.

Close-knit families provide support and help when you need it. When a family is close, it can provide a sort of safe harbor or refuge from problems and worries. Families that are close-knit know each other very well and stand by each other. On the other, being part of a close-knit family can be a problem because some family members may meddle in private affairs or give advice that is not asked for. Much of this depends on the parents in the family.
