　　從上述題目中可知懲罰罪犯除了收監外，其他更好的alternatives有education(i.e., to learn some skills in the community) 和job training (i.e., to be made to do some work)。因此，如果考生熟悉歷年真題，就不難想到上述兩個alternatives。

　　3. 主體段落思路

　　第一段：監獄的作用。首先，懲罰了罪犯，體現了法律的公正，給受害者及其家屬帶來了一定的安慰。其次，監獄對潛在罪犯有一定的威懾力。

　　第二段：其他更好的方式。首先，給罪犯提供教育資源。其次，幫助、培養他們的工作技能，成立就業指導小組以幫助他們重返社會后可以生存繼而贏得生活。此外，還應“人性”地對待罪犯，如在獄中，不以編號稱呼罪犯;不穿囚犯服等，給予他們尊嚴。

　　4. 總結觀點：雖然監獄在改造罪犯的過程中起到了重要的作用，但是結合教育、工作培訓，人性化對待才能更好地改造他們。
