1. 表示數量或程度，要用 no more(后接名詞，more 為形容詞，不接名詞，more 為名詞)或 not ... any more。如：
There is no more bread. 沒有面包了。
I have no more to say. 我再沒有什么要說的了。
The boy doesn't want any more. 這孩子不想再要了。

2. 表示時間，no more 通常用于句末，且一般與非延續性動詞連用。no longer 通常放在句中(放在行為動詞之前或特殊動詞之后)，可用于延續性動詞和非延續性動詞，此時也可用 not ... any more 或 not ... any longer。如：
We don't live here any more [longer]. / We no longer live here. 我們不住在這里了。
He knows that he is no longer young. 他知道自己不再年輕。
我再也不去那里了。
正：I will go there no more.
正：I will no longer go there.
正：I won't go there any longer [any more].
注：在正式的文體中，no longer 也可位于句首(句子用倒裝)或句末。如：
No longer does he love her. / He loves her no longer. 他再也不愛她了。
