Be Somebody before You Can be Nobody!

An archbishop was visiting a church and suddenly he felt

moved to kneel in front of the Cross and say, "Oh God,

have pity on me. I am really no one. Please, have pity

on me." And then the bishop, seeing the archbishop

doing that, knelt down next to him and said, "Oh God,

have mercy on me. I am nobody. Have mercy on me.

I am no one." And then the minister of the church,

seeing the archbishop and the bishop doing that, knelt

next to them and said, "Oh God, have mercy on me.

I am nobody. I am no one." And there was a janitor

nearby sweeping the floor, and seeing what they were

all doing, he also knelt in front of the Cross next to

them and said, "Oh God, have mercy on me. I am no

one. I am humble; I am no one." And the archbishop

looked at him and said, "Look at who's saying he's a

nobody here!" How humble, indeed!

沒資格當(dāng)無名小卒？

一位大主教到教堂視察，突然他心有所感，在十字架

前跪下來說：「上帝啊，請(qǐng)憐憫我，我是無名小卒，

請(qǐng)可憐我。」主教看到這一幕，也跪在他旁邊說：

「上帝啊，請(qǐng)憐憫我，我是無名小卒，請(qǐng)可憐我，

我是無名小卒。」教堂的教士看見大主教和主教的

舉動(dòng)之后，也跪在他們身旁說：「上帝啊，請(qǐng)悲憫我，

我是無名小卒、我是無名小卒！」旁邊一位正在掃地

的工友看見了，也跪在他們身旁說：「上帝啊，請(qǐng)

悲憫我，我是無名小卒，我是卑微的無名小卒！」

這時(shí)大主教看著工友說： 「你們看！他也敢在這里

說自己是無名小卒！」--這位大主教真的是好「謙卑」啊！
