When we say certain consonants such as /t/, /d/, /p/, /b/, /k/, or /g/,
當(dāng)我們讀/t/、/d/、/p/、/b/、/k/或/g/等輔音時(shí)，
we let out a small "explosion" of air, these are called "plosive" consonants.
我們會(huì)送出一股小的“爆破”氣流——這些被稱為“爆破”輔音。
When two plosive consonants are next to each other,
當(dāng)兩個(gè)爆破音互相連在一起，
the first plosive consonant is not pronounced,
第一個(gè)爆破音不發(fā)音，
and there is usually a short pause between them,

e.g., football is usually pronounced as "football".
