How I Learned to Learn English
我是如何掌握學習英語的方法
Last year, I did not like my English class. Every class was like a bad dream.
去年，我不喜歡英語課。每節課對我來說都像是一場噩夢。
The teacher spoke so quickly that I did not understand her most of the time.
老師說得太快了，以至于多數時間我都聽不懂。
I was afraid to ask questions because of my poor pronunciation. I just hid behind my textbook and never said anything.
因為發音太差，我害怕提問。我只是躲在課本后面，從不發言。
Then one day I watched an English movie called Toy Story. I fell in love with this exciting and funny movie! So I began to watch other English movies, too.
然后有一天，我看了一部名叫《玩具總動員》的英語電影。我迷上了這部讓人興奮又有意思的電影！于是，我也開始看其它的英文電影了。
Although I could not understand everything the characters said, their body language and the expressions on their faces helped me to get the meaning.
雖然我不能理解演員們所說的每一句話，但是他們的肢體語言和臉上的表情能夠幫助我理解他們所要表達的意思。
I also realized I could get the meaning by listening for just the key words.
我還意識到我可以通過聽關鍵詞來理解意思。
My pronunciation improved as well by listening to the conversations in English movies.
我的發音也在聽英文電影里有趣對話的過程中提高了。
I discovered that listening to something interesting is the secret to language learning.
我發現聽你感興趣的東西是語言學習的奧秘。
I also learned useful sentences like "It's a piece of cake" or "It serves you right." I did not understand these sentences at first.
我還學會了一些像“這簡直是小菜一碟”或“你活該”這樣的有用的句子。起初我并不明白這些句子。
But because I wanted to understand the story, I looked them up in a dictionary.
但是，因為我想要理解整個故事，我就從字典里查找這些單詞。
Now I really enjoy my English class. I want to learn new words and more grammar so that I can have a better understanding of English movies.
現在我真的非常喜歡英語課。我想學會新單詞和更多的語法知識，這樣我就能更好地理解英文電影了。
