第二十課：五行詩
Look at the poem on the right. It has five lines of text.
看右邊的這首詩。一共有五句。
This style was created in the nineteenth century by an American poet.
十九世紀一位美國詩人創(chuàng)立了這種詩歌形式。
This kind of poem always talks about a single topic.
這類詩歌常常講述某一個話題。
Each line has a set number of words. The first line has one word.
每一句都有固定數(shù)量的詞語。第一句一個詞。
The second line has two words.
第二句有兩個詞。
The third, or middle line has three words. The fourth line has four words.
第三句，或中間的一句有三個詞。第四句有四個詞。
The last line has one word.
最后一句有一個詞。

Here is how you can write your own five-line poem.
以下是如何寫五行詩（的方法）。
Line 1: In one word, state the topic of your poem. Use a noun.
第一句：用一個詞，闡明詩歌主題，使用名詞。
Line 2: Describe your topic in two words.
第二句：用兩個詞描述主題。
Use a noun and an adjective or two adjectives.
使用一個名詞和一個形容詞，或是兩個形容詞。
Line 3: Choose three words that describe what your topic does.
第三句：選用三個詞描述主題是什么。
Line 4: Express a thought or a feeling about your topic in four words.
第四句：用四個詞來表達對主題的想法或感受。
You can use any type of words here.
任何詞性的詞都可使用。
Line 5: Say something about your topic in one word.
第五句：用一個詞來表明你的主題。
