Lesson 36 Classroom Olympics
第36課 教室奧運(yùn)會
Dear Li Ming,
親愛的李明：
This week in school,we had our own classroom Olympics!
這周在學(xué)校，我們舉行了教室奧運(yùn)會！
Our class had five different events - jump rope,long jump,sit-ups,push-ups and "Jump over the Dinosaur".
我們班舉行了五種不同的項(xiàng)目——跳繩、跳遠(yuǎn)、仰臥起坐、俯臥撐以及“跳過恐龍”。
Everyone competed in each event,one by one.
每個人都參加了每個項(xiàng)目，一個接一個。
The events were fun!
這個比賽很好玩！
Sandra won first place in the jump rope event.
桑德拉在跳繩比賽中獲得第一名。
She jumped 180 times in one minute without stopping.
她一分鐘不間斷跳了180下。
Lisa won second place in the long jump.
麗莎在跳遠(yuǎn)比賽中獲得第二名。
She jumped very far,but Kim jumped farther.
她跳得非常遠(yuǎn)，但是金跳得更遠(yuǎn)。
But my favourite event was Danny's.
但是我最喜歡的項(xiàng)目是丹尼的。
He called it "Jump over the Dinosaur".
他稱之為“跳過恐龍”。
It was a race.
這是一個跑步項(xiàng)目。
Each person walked on some paper pizzas, climbed through a cardboard donut and then jumped over a toy dinosaur.
每個人要踩著紙做的披薩走路，穿過一個紙板做的多納圈然后跳過一個玩具恐龍。
We used a watch to see who was the fastest.
我們用秒表來看誰是最快的。
What was the result?

Danny won the race!

None of us could catch him!

But I was close.
但是我很接近了。
I was only two seconds slower than Danny.
我只比丹尼慢了兩秒鐘。
Brian was sad because he lost.

He came in twentieth.
他排在第二十位。
He did his best,but he kept falling off the pizzas!
他盡了最大的努力，但是他不停的從披薩上掉下來！
