M: Michele, how long have you been living in China?
男士：米歇爾，你在中國住多久了？
W: Well, in total it's been almost four years now.
女士：到現在總共將近四年了。
M: Four years. The same to me.
男士：四年。和我一樣。
W: Oh, yeah.
女士：哦，是的。
M: Are you totally used to living here?
男士：你已經完全習慣這里的生活了嗎？
W: I think so.At times there are still some things that are a little bit difficult, but for the most part, I don't have a culture shock anymore.

M: For example?
男士：舉個例子。
W: Well, there's still the language barrier because I'm still not fluent in Chinese; like today I went to the bank and I was trying to do something that was a little out of the ordinary, I guess. I just had some trouble and I couldn't
get it done.
女士：我現在在溝通上還是會遇到語言障礙，因為我現在講中文還不流利。比如今天我去銀行，可能我想辦的事情有點特殊。麻煩了半天最后也沒有辦成。
M: And you said you had gone back to Canada. Did you have kind of reverse culture shock when you went back?
男士：你說你回去過加拿大。回去之后你有感受到逆向文化沖擊嗎？
W: Yes, I did actually. I... at that time, I had lived in China for about three years, and I was so used to living in China. I guess I had to change my thinking and behaviors a little bit when I went back to Canada. I felt like, "OK, now
I have to change back."
女士：說實話，遇到了。當時我在中國住了大概三年的時間，已經非常習慣了。我想回到加拿大之后我不得不稍微轉換一下思維和行為模式。我當時想“好了，我必須變回來了。”
M: And you're planning to move back soon again?
男士：你打算近期又要搬回加拿大了嗎？
W: Well, I'm going to go back to Canada in the summer for my holidays but then I'll be back in China.

M: Oh, I see. What do you think you'll miss most about China while you're gone?
男士：哦，我知道了。離開中國后你覺得你會最懷念中國的什么？
W: I think I'll miss the food the most. I really love Chinese food.
女士：我想我最懷念的將會是食物。我真的很愛中國的食物。
M: That's exactly the same for me.
男士：我們兩個完全一樣。
W: Yeah.
女士：是的。
M: I'll miss my chafing dish.
男士：我會懷念火鍋。
W: And good jiaozi.
女士：還有好吃的餃子。
