定語(yǔ)從句可以采取順勢(shì)斷句譯法
如：

　　這本來(lái)是一個(gè)很長(zhǎng)的句子，有定語(yǔ)從句，又有插入語(yǔ)，信息量也較多。如果不進(jìn)行合理斷句，很難在短時(shí)間內(nèi)把所有信息，完全通順的翻譯出來(lái)。經(jīng)過(guò)斷句后，這個(gè)定語(yǔ)從句可以采用順序驅(qū)動(dòng)的方法。譯文：布什先生為里根總統(tǒng)效力時(shí)，是一份緘默順從的副總統(tǒng)，他以前曾是里根的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)對(duì)手，當(dāng)了副總統(tǒng)以后，他要證實(shí)自己對(duì)里根的忠誠(chéng)：他盡量不拋頭露面突出自己，在即的觀點(diǎn)與上司相左時(shí)，他總是把話放到肚子里。
　　另外~“gave himself the task of proving his loyalty”如果直譯為“給了自己在后臺(tái)工作的任務(wù)以示他的忠誠(chéng)”小編覺得有點(diǎn)生硬呢。
