Learning to be a wizard
“小雀斑”終于圓了“巫師夢”
Welcome back to JK Rowling's wizarding world. This time, however, the main character is not Harry Potter.

Starring Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne, the second installment in the Fantastic Beasts series, The Crimes of Grindelwald, hit Chinese cinemas on Nov 16.
由奧斯卡影帝埃迪·雷德梅恩主演的“神奇動物”系列電影第二部《神奇動物：格林德沃之罪》已于11月16日登陸中國影院。
It tells the story about an adventure of magizoologist called Newt Scamander against a great villain in a more divided and dangerous magical world. The 36-year-old actor had to learn how to use a wand and mutter spells for his new role in the film. Learning to be a wizard was hard work.
電影講述了魔法動物學(xué)家紐特·斯卡曼德在一個更加分裂、危險的魔法世界中，對抗超強反派的冒險故事。為出演影片中的新角色，這位36歲的演員需要學(xué)習(xí)如何使用魔杖和念咒語。學(xué)著成為一名巫師并非易事。
"I've always loved the wizarding world and I feel thrilled to be invited into it," he told the London Evening Standard. In fact, as early as 2014, on the Late Night with Conan O'Brien show, Redmayne expressed his love for the Harry Potter series and wondered why he wasn't given the role of Ron Weasley, Harry Potter's best friend.
“我一直都很喜歡魔法世界，受邀出演讓我感到十分激動，”他在接受《倫敦標(biāo)準(zhǔn)晚報》采訪時表示。事實上，早在2014年，雷德梅恩便在節(jié)目《柯南深夜秀》中表達(dá)了自己對“哈利·波特”系列的喜愛，并且想知道自己當(dāng)時為什么沒能拿下哈利·波特最好的朋友羅恩·韋斯萊這個角色。
Now he has finally achieved his teenage dream of playing a wizard.

Growing up in London in a family that had "no acting blood", as he himself put it, Redmayne first developed his love of acting as a child. His parents supported his hobby and allowed him to take drama lessons. He made his stage debut at the age of 12.
雷德梅恩成長于一個倫敦家庭，自稱家中“沒有演藝細(xì)胞”，但他從小便對表演產(chǎn)生了興趣。父母支持他的愛好，送他去上戲劇課。12歲時，他初次登臺表演。
At the elite Eton school, where he was Prince William's classmate, Redmayne continued to act in school plays. But he also developed a passion for playing sports. Redmayne played rugby for the school alongside the prince.
雷德梅恩在精英名校伊頓公學(xué)就讀期間和威廉王子成了同學(xué)，并繼續(xù)參演校內(nèi)排練的戲劇。而他也對體育運動產(chǎn)生了強烈的興趣，和威廉王子同為學(xué)校橄欖球隊隊員。
Redmayne told Glamour magazine that being a member of the royal family "made William quite an easy target on the pitch". "I always felt slightly sorry for Will because everyone wanted to tackle the future King of England," he said.
雷德梅恩在接受《魅力》雜志采訪時透露，王室成員的身份“讓威廉很容易就成為球場上的目標(biāo)”。“我一直都有點同情威廉，因為人人都想在比賽中攔截未來的英國國王，”他說道。
Redmayne went on to study art history at the University of Cambridge. The actor admitted that he applied to university rather than drama school because it would be good to have a degree to fall back on – and most importantly, to keep his banker father happy.

Redmayne agreed that a wealthy background helped when he followed his acting dream. "When I was going to endless unsuccessful auditions, I could live at home rent-free in London," he told Intelligent Life magazine.
雷德梅恩也認(rèn)為，富裕的家庭背景有助于他追逐演藝夢想。“當(dāng)我無數(shù)次試鏡失敗時，還能住在倫敦的家里，不用付房租，”他在接受《智慧生活》雜志采訪時表示。
Yet as Tom Hooper, the Oscar-winning UK director, told the Guardian, Redmayne "has the most amazing natural acting ability". "There are plenty of people who went to Eton. There is only one actor like Eddie," he said.
然而，曾獲奧斯卡獎的英國導(dǎo)演湯姆·霍珀在接受《衛(wèi)報》采訪時表示，雷德梅恩“與生俱來擁有最棒的表演天賦”。“上伊頓公學(xué)的人不少，但像埃迪這樣的演員只有一個，”他說道。
