Voice 2: Ben cannot see with his eyes. But he can see with his ears. Today's Spotlight is about Ben Underwood. He sees with sound.

Voice 1: Ben has not always been blind. But when Ben was two years old, his mother noticed something was different with Ben's right eye. She said it looked like light coloured glass. Doctors discovered that he had eye cancer. The doctors had to remove Ben's eyes.
聲音1：本并非生下來就是盲人。但當本兩歲的時候，他媽媽注意到本的右眼有些不同。她說那只眼睛看起來像淺色的玻璃。醫生發現他得了眼癌。因此他們不得不摘除本的眼睛。
Ben's mother remembers the day of the surgery:

Voice 4: "When he woke up after that second surgery, he was so afraid. He said, 'Mom, I cannot see.' I took his hand and put it to my face. I said, 'Yes you can, baby, with your hands and nose and your ears. You can see, just not like the rest of us.'"
聲音4：“第二次手術后醒來時，他非常害怕。他說，‘媽媽，我看不見。’我握住他的手放在我的臉上。我說，‘寶貝，你可以用你的手、鼻子和耳朵看見。你可以看見，只是不像我們其他人一樣而已。’”
