Jingjing: Mark, have you gotten into watching any vlogs?
京晶：馬克，你有迷上看視頻博客嗎?
Mark: Watching what?
馬克：看什么？
Jingjing: Vlogs: that's short for video logs.
京晶：視頻博客：視頻日志的簡稱。
Mark: Oh, those. You know, it's a cool idea. Lots of folks are making those. I haven't, though—not yet, anyway. Could you recommend one?
馬克：哦，那些啊。你知道的，那很酷。很多人都在拍這個。不過，我還沒有看過——至少現(xiàn)在還沒有。你能推薦一個嗎?
Jingjing: Definitely. There's one that's taken the world by storm. It's done by a young woman named Liziqi. She lives in the countryside and makes videos about her daily life.

Mark: That sounds like it could be interesting.

Jingjing: Wanna have a look? I think I can get one of the videos on my phone. Here it is.

Mark: Wow, that looks really professional!

Jingjing: Actually, she shoots all the footage herself, edits it, and posts it on her own.

Mark: That's pretty amazing! I would have believed she has a team of at least three people.

Jingjing: Nope. It's a solo project. She has dozens of videos online already. They've been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.

Mark: That's totally impressive. Well, she has a good eye. No wonder she has so many fans.

Jingjing: How do you mean?

Mark: Oh, I'm just noticing how the shots alternate. There's a close shot, then a long, wider shot. It's almost like the beginning of a movie, where we get a montage of someone's ordinary life before the story begins.

Jingjing: So, Mark, if you made a vlog, what would it be about?

Mark: Huh? I've hardly seen any vlogs. I wouldn't know where to start. I do like reading, though. So, a book at bedtime might be a good video series. I could post a chapter a day.
馬克：啊?我都沒怎么看過視頻日志。我壓根不知道從哪里開始著手。不過，我很喜歡閱讀。所以，睡前一本書可能是個不錯的視頻系列。我可以每天上傳一章。
Jingjing: That sounds like a good video project. You could add pictures to the video—that way, it's not just you reading out loud.

Mark: Yeah, I think that'd be interesting. But I know people who do podcasts and videos like that. It takes up a lot of their time.

Jingjing: It's quite a commitment, especially if you have a big following.

Mark: Right. I know some people get hugely popular with the content they put online. But for most people, it's a lot of work that just a few people see. What about you, Jingjing?

Jingjing: Well, I do several radio shows every week, and a livestream of each from the studio. So, I feel like it'd be overkill to do more broadcasting work on the side.

Mark: I hear you. Then, what kind of vlogs would you like to see more of.

Jingjing: I'm always impressed by travel videos. There are a few I've seen about people who sailed around the world, or went to live in remote areas for a few months at a time. Those are really cool stories.

Mark: That'd be something I'd watch also.

Mark: Well, I'm a total foodie. So, anything about how to cook would be cool—or what to try while travelling to other countries.

Jingjing: Travelling and food together in one vlog. You won't have to look too far.

Mark: I bet I won't. Anyway, you got me interested. I'll start searching for some new ones. Until now, I've only looked for how-to videos.

Jingjing: Those can be great. What have you watched recently?

Mark: A guy I met put a series of videos up called Excel on Fire. They show how to use Microsoft Excel, and do cool things with that software. I've learned a lot from those. And they're pretty funny too.
