Maybe there's two types of people in the world:
也許這世界有兩種人：
those people who favor humans over ideology, and those people who favor ideology over humans.
一種人相信人性高于意識(shí)形態(tài)，一種人相信意識(shí)形態(tài)高于人性。
I favor humans over ideology, but right now, the ideologues are winning,
我屬于前者，但眼下，后者正占據(jù)上風(fēng)，
and they're creating a stage for constant artificial high dramas
這些人正在搭建一個(gè)舞臺(tái)，不停上演一出大戲，
where everybody's either a magnificent hero or a sickening villain,
戲里的人不是威猛英雄，就是猥瑣壞人，
even though we know that's not true about our fellow humans.
即使大家都明白其實(shí)人不是這樣的。
What's true is that we are clever and stupid; what's true is that we're grey areas.
真實(shí)的現(xiàn)實(shí)是我們既聰明又愚蠢；真實(shí)的現(xiàn)實(shí)是我們都處于灰色地帶。
The great thing about social media was how it gave a voice to voiceless people,
社交媒體的好處是它能為無(wú)處發(fā)聲的人提供一個(gè)發(fā)言的平臺(tái)，
but we're now creating a surveillance society, where the smartest way to survive is to go back to being voiceless.
而現(xiàn)在呢，我們搞出了個(gè)間諜社會(huì)，要想生存就得噤若寒蟬。
