Jill and Dianne were friends.
吉爾和黛安是朋友。
They met in junior high school and played on the same sports teams.
她們?cè)谏铣踔袝r(shí)相識(shí)，并且參加了同一支運(yùn)動(dòng)隊(duì)。
One day, they were spending time together. They were walking in the park.
有一天，她們聚在一起。她們?cè)诠珗@里散步。
"It's too hot in the sun. Let's go sit in the shade," Jill said.
吉爾說：“太陽底下太曬了。我們坐在陰涼下吧。”
They sat down. But after they sat down, Jill stood up again.
她們坐了下來。但是在坐下之后，吉爾又站了起來。
"This is a terrible spot. Let's go over there," Jill said.
吉爾說：“這位置不好。我們?nèi)ツ沁叞伞！?/div>
Spending time with Jill was getting harder and harder.
和吉爾聚在一起變得越來越難了。
Over the years, Jill complained more and more. She was never happy.
這么多年過來，吉爾抱怨的越來越多。她從沒開心過。
They sat down again. This time Dianne tried to cheer Jill up a little bit.
她們又坐了下來。這次黛安試著讓吉爾能高興一點(diǎn)。
"Are those shoes new, Jill? They look nice on you," she said.
她說：“吉爾，這雙鞋是新的嗎？你穿上真好看。”
Then Jill started complaining about her shoes.
隨后吉爾就開始抱怨起她的鞋子來。
Dianne sighed. Dianne regretted saying anything at all.
黛安嘆了口氣。她后悔自己開口說話了。
Finally, Jill asked about Dianne's new school.
最后，吉爾詢問起了黛安的新學(xué)校。
"It's great! I'm making a lot of new friends..." Dianne was saying.
“很棒！我交了很多新朋友...”黛安正說著。
But then Jill started talking again.
不過隨后吉爾又開始打斷了她的話。
"It's not fair! I never make new friends.
“不公平！我從來沒交到過新朋友。
You won't like me anymore! You'll never spend time with me again."
你不喜歡我了！你再也不會(huì)和我一起出來了。”
Jill was so negative. Dianne wanted to say something.
吉爾情緒太消極了。黛安想要說些什么。
But she didn't know what to say. What would you say?
但是她不知道該說什么。要是你，你會(huì)說什么呢？
