Adam was waiting for his friend Sarah.
亞當在等他的朋友莎拉。
He saw her across the street.
他看到她過了馬路。
Her head was down, and she was looking at her phone.
她的頭低著，正在看自己的手機。
She was always texting someone.
她總是給別人發短信。
"Hey, Sarah!" Adam said, waving to her from the street corner.
“嗨，莎拉！”亞當喊道，在街角向她揮著手。
But she didn't hear him because she was busy with her phone.
但是她沒有聽見，因為她在忙著用手機。
Then she stepped into the street and started to cross.
隨后她準備過馬路。
Adam saw a car coming. "Look out!" Adam shouted.
亞當看到一輛車開了過來。“小心！”亞當喊道。
Sarah looked up and saw the car.
莎拉抬頭看到了那輛車。
She quickly stepped back and stepped on someone's foot. She apologized.
她迅速地往后退，可是猜到了別人的腳。她向那人道了歉。
The car passed, and she crossed the street. Adam shook his head.
汽車開走了，她過了馬路。亞當搖了搖頭。
"Hi, Adam! Sorry about that," she said.
“嗨，亞當！很抱歉。”她說道。
They started walking and talking.
他們邊走邊談。
Sarah started telling Adam about a small problem.
莎拉告訴了亞當一個小問題。
But Adam wasn't listening.
但是亞當沒有在聽。
This time, Adam was busy with his phone.
這一次，亞當開始忙著用他的手機了。
He started smiling because of a text.
因為一則短信，他笑了起來。
Sarah stopped walking. But Adam didn't notice and ran into a bench.
莎拉停下了腳步。但是亞當沒有注意到，而是撞上了一條長椅。
"Adam! I was talking to you. Weren't you listening?" she asked.
“亞當！我在和你說話。你有聽嗎？”她問道。
"Sorry, Sarah," he said and put away his phone. "Please tell me again."
“抱歉，莎拉。”亞當說道，并且放下了自己跌手機。“請再說一遍。”
They sat down. Then both their phones buzzed at the same time.
他們坐了下來。之后兩個人的手機同時響了起來。
They looked at their phones and then at each other.
他們看了看自己的手機，又互相看了看。
