Anna: Sure. Can we talk about pets?

Rob: Pets? Zoo animals aren't pets!

Anna: That's right, Rob. Zoo animals aren't pets. But some people keep them as pets.

Rob: Really? Why?
羅布:真的嗎?為什么?
Anna: People like exotic pets. But exotic pets are wild animals.
安娜:人們喜歡奇特的寵物。但是奇特的寵物都是野生動物。
Rob: So they make bad pets.
羅布:所以不適合當(dāng)寵物。
Anna: Yes. People can't look after them. So they give them to us.
安娜:是的。人們照顧不了它們。所以這些寵物就給了我們。
Rob: And you care for them.
羅布:然后你們就照顧它們。
Anna: Yes, that's my job.

Rob: What former pets do you have at the zoo?

Anna: We have two tigers and 15 monkeys.

Rob: Those aren't good pets.

Anna: Right. They bite. And you can't train them well.

Rob: But you can train cats and dogs.
羅布:但是你可以訓(xùn)練貓和狗。
Anna: Yes. Everyone, please don't get exotic pets. Cats and dogs are best!
