Maybe one of you read this book, I was thinking about this morning,
你們中可能有人讀過這本書 我早上就在思考這件事情
I almost thought, don't bring it out because you're just gonna look stupid on TV
我幾乎想 千萬別提這事兒 因為這在電視上看起來就會顯得很蠢
because people out there know it
電視外面的人都知道是怎么回事
there was a person who's written two books now and the start of his career was that he studied animals
有個人現在已經寫了兩本書了 他職業生涯一開始是研究動物的
And evidently, when you're in to some of this stuff, what you do is to find out how zebras behave
很明顯 當你研究動物的時候 你要做的就是找出斑馬的行為
you just go sit in a tree or behind the bush, for months, and months, and months, and months
你就成年累月地坐在樹下或者灌木叢后 幾個月幾個月地坐著
Then you just watch
唯一做的事情就是觀察
You know how these animals behave

And so his first book he wrote which was, you know, sold a good number of books

Was about basic aspects of who we are as animals

human beings are as animals

That maybe we're unaware of

And I, there are some of interesting stuff in it,

for example you know, when you are first enamored of that person,

that new person in your life and you go sit across have a table in a restaurant and you just stare at each other

Evidently when you're in love or you know you might have said yourself or heard somebody else say,
當你們墜入愛河的時候 你們可能自己這么說過 也可能聽別人這么說過
Well I don't know if she loves me or he loves me or not, he never said it but I'm sure they do
我不知道他/她到底愛不愛我 他/她從來沒說過 但我就是知道他/她愛我
Is it evidently, I'm the only one who experienced this in my life
很明顯 我是唯一一個經歷過這些的人
you're making me feel like real hokey
你們讓我覺得自己真的很做作
Evidently when you're in love, when you look at people and that initial rush, your pupil dilates more
墜入愛河的人看別人的時候 一瞬間瞳孔會放大
but no, this is the type of thing the guy was studying, dilates more than it does under normal circumstances
但這就是這小子研究的東西 瞳孔比正常情況下要放大得離譜
and so when people are staring at each other
因此人們互相凝視的時候
You're passive, you know, your innate aspect of your body
是被動的 這是人與生俱來的一個特性
of your senses pick up on this aspect
而你的感覺捕捉到這個特性
That this person really loves me
你就知道這個人真的愛我
I can tell because their eyes are dilated
我能分辨得出來 因為他們的瞳孔放大了
it's not like they're drinking
不是因為他們喝了酒
it's because It's me it's me
而是因為我 因為我啊
I'm intoxicated
我陶醉在這之中了
