Voice 2: Our next letter comes from a listener in China. This person cares very much for animals. He hopes that programs will encourage people to recognize animal rights.
聲音2：下封信來自一名中國(guó)聽眾。這名聽眾非常關(guān)心動(dòng)物。他希望我們的節(jié)目能勸說人們承認(rèn)動(dòng)物的權(quán)利。
Voice 1: Animal rights is an important issue for people all over the world. Many countries have particular rules that protect animals. These laws protect the animals from bad treatment. Sadly, people often treat animals badly.
聲音1：對(duì)世界各地的人來說，動(dòng)物權(quán)利是一個(gè)重要問題。許多國(guó)家在保護(hù)動(dòng)物方面有特別法。這些法律保護(hù)動(dòng)物免遭虐待。不幸的是，人們經(jīng)常虐待動(dòng)物。
Voice 2: These laws protect the rights of the animals. Animal owners should feed their animals properly. They should make sure that their animals have a good place to live. And no-one should hurt animals unnecessarily. These laws even protect animals that will be killed for food. They make sure that the animals do not experience too much pain when they are killed.
