One day, when her father was going to the fair,

he asked his two stepdaughters what he should bring them

So he brought beautiful dresses, diamonds and pearls for his two stepdaughters
他為前兩個(gè)女兒帶回了她們想要的漂亮衣服和珍珠鉆石
On the way home, as he was riding through a copse, a hazel branch brushed against him and knocked off his hat
在回來的路上 他穿過一片矮樹林時(shí) 有一根榛樹枝條碰著了他 把他的帽子掃下來了
So he broke off the branch and took it with him on his way home
所以他把這根樹枝折下來帶回了家
When he got home, he gave the stepdaughters what they had asked for and gave Ashputtle the branch
回到家后 他給兩個(gè)繼女她們要的東西 然后把枝條給了灰姑娘
