I have come to realize that for most people, when it comes to the subject of money, they would rather play it safe.
我很明顯地意識(shí)到，對(duì)大多數(shù)人來(lái)說(shuō)，一旦涉及金錢的問(wèn)題，他們寧愿安全行事。
I have had to field questions such as: Why take risks? Why should I bother developing my financial IQ?
我不得不回答諸如此類的問(wèn)題：為什么要去冒險(xiǎn)？為什么必須永不停止地提高自己的財(cái)商？
Why should I become financially literate? And I answer: Just to have more options.
為什么必須懂得財(cái)務(wù)知識(shí)？對(duì)此我的回答是：“就是為了獲得更多的選擇機(jī)會(huì)。”
There are huge changes up ahead.
我們的世界將會(huì)有巨大的變化。
There will be a hundred people like Bill Gates and hugely successful companies like Microsoft created every year, all over the world.
每年全世界都會(huì)產(chǎn)生100個(gè)像比爾蓋茨那樣的人，也會(huì)出現(xiàn)更多的像微軟一樣成功的公司。
And there also will be many more bankruptcies, layoffs, and downsizings.
當(dāng)然，每年也會(huì)有更多的公司破產(chǎn)、裁員和精簡(jiǎn)機(jī)構(gòu)。
So why bother developing your financial IQ? Because if you do, you will prosper greatly.
那么究竟為什么要努力提高自己的財(cái)商呢？如果你這樣做了，你就會(huì)獲得巨大的成功。
And if you don't, this period of time will be a frightening one.
如果不這樣做，對(duì)你來(lái)說(shuō)，這個(gè)時(shí)代就會(huì)讓你恐慌。
Land was wealth 300 years ago. So the person who owned the land owned the wealth.
300年前，土地是一種財(cái)富，所以，誰(shuí)擁有土地，誰(shuí)就擁有財(cái)富。
Then that was factories and production, and America rose to dominance.
后來(lái)，美國(guó)依靠工廠和工業(yè)產(chǎn)品上升為世界頭號(hào)強(qiáng)國(guó)。
The industrialist owned the wealth. Today, it is information.
工業(yè)家占有了財(cái)富，今天，信息便是財(cái)富。
And the person who has the most timely information owns the wealth.
誰(shuí)擁有最新的信息，誰(shuí)就擁有財(cái)富。
The problem is information flies around the world at the speed of light.
問(wèn)題是，信息以光一樣的速度在全世界迅速傳播。
The new wealth cannot be contained by boundaries and borders as land and factories were.
這種新的財(cái)富不再像土地和工廠那樣具有明確的范圍和界限。
The changes will be faster and more dramatic. There will be a dramatic increase in the number of new multimillionaires.
變化會(huì)越來(lái)越快，越來(lái)越顯著，百萬(wàn)富翁的人數(shù)會(huì)極大地增加。
There also will be those who are left behind.
同樣，也會(huì)有許多人被遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)地拋在后面。
