Open thine eyes and see thy God is not before thee!
睜開眼你看，上帝不在你的面前！
He is there where the tiller is tilling the hard ground and where the pathmaker is breaking stones.
他是在鋤著枯地的農夫那里，在敲石的造路工人那里。
He is with them in sun and in shower, and his garment is covered with dust.
太陽下，陰雨里，他和他們同在，衣袍上蒙著塵土。
Put off thy holy mantle and even like him come down on the dusty soil!
脫掉你的圣袍，甚至像他一樣地下到泥土里去罷！
Deliverance? Where is this deliverance to be found?
超脫嗎？從哪里找超脫呢？
Our master himself has joyfully taken upon him the bonds of creation; he is bound with us all for ever.
我們的主已經高高興興地把創造的鎖鏈帶起：他和我們大家永遠連系在一起。
Come out of thy meditations and leave aside thy flowers and incense!
從靜坐里走出來罷，丟開供養的香花！
What harm is there if thy clothes become tattered and stained?
你的衣服污損了又何妨呢？
Meet him and stand by him in toil and in sweat of thy brow.
去迎接他，在勞動里，流汗里，和他站在一起罷。
