"I arose and was led by the hands of my companions Into Damascus
“于是，我起身前往大馬士革，
and there I was not able to eat or drink for three days
三天三夜滴水未進。
while I remained in the house of a follower of the crucified one.
我待在耶穌的一個門徒家里。
Then I was visited by another called Ananias,
后來有一個名叫亞拿尼亞的人來找我，
who said he had been visited in a vision and told to come to me.
他說他見到異象才來的。
Then he laid his hands upon my eyes and I could see again.

Then I ate, and I drank,

and my strength returned.''

In Jerusalem the happenings of Damascus repeated themselves.

None of the followers of Jesus would come near me
還是沒有人肯相信我
although word had been received of my preaching in Damascus.
盡管我在大馬士革的講話已經不脛而走。
Nevertheless, I continued to preach in the name of Jesus
我不顧一切地按基督的旨義布道，
but it was of no avail.
然而毫無收效，
Everywhere I spoke I antagonized those who listened
處處遭人反對。
until one day I went to the Temple
直到有一天，
and in the courtyard, as I watched the sale of doves and lambs for sacrifice,
我到圣殿去，在庭院中看到有人在販賣鴿子、綿羊這祭品。
the voice came to me again."
突然有聲音對我說……”
"This time what did it say?" Erasmus spoke before he could stop himself.

Hafid smiled at his old friend and nodded for Paul to continue.

"The voice said, "you hast had the Word for nearly four years

Even the word of God must be sold to the people

or they will hear it not
否則他們不會接受。
Did not I speak in parables so that all might understand?
我不是也借助寓言讓所有的人聽懂嗎？
Thou wilt catch few flies with vinegar.
你這樣生硬的演說不會有什么效果。
Return to Damascus
回到大馬士革去，
and seek out he who is acclaimed as the greatest salesman in the world.
設法找到那個世上最偉大的推銷員，
If thou would spread my word to the world let him show you the way.'"
如果你想把我的話傳給世人，就要向他虛心請教。’”
Hafid glanced quickly at Erasmus

and the old bookkeeper sensed the unspoken question.

The great salesman leaned forward and placed his hand on Paul's shoulder.

Paul, his voice now alive with new strength and volume,

told of Jesus and his life.
