I have learnt a lot on this trip. Actually, before coming,

I actually wanted to experience most of the cities,
我其實(shí)是想去體驗(yàn)一下大部分的城市
because I am a city girl at heart.
因?yàn)槲覂?nèi)心里畢竟還是城里女孩，
But going back to the roots,
但是當(dāng)我追根溯源
the basic roots and going back to the countryside and learning from these farmers.
回到家族發(fā)源的地方，回到村子里向這些農(nóng)民學(xué)習(xí)
You know, life is tough,
你就會(huì)明白，生活很艱辛
it's not easy and the way they live with such dignity really touched me.
很不易，而他們有尊嚴(yán)的生活方式讓我深有感觸
They put their food on the plate and it represents them.
他們把自己的食物放進(jìn)盤子里，食物就代表了他們
They cook for us and they share with us
為我們做飯，和我們一起分享美食
and they're giving a bit of themselves to us.
其實(shí)是向我們表達(dá)了他們的情感
What is amazing is how China has changed in such a short period of time.
最讓人驚奇的是中國(guó)如何會(huì)在這樣短的時(shí)間里改變了這么多
I mean, growing up, I saw China as being very poor,
我的意思是，我從小到大一直認(rèn)為中國(guó)很窮
and not enough to eat and that sort of thing.
吃不飽飯，物資匱乏
It's transformed to the second economic power in the world.
而現(xiàn)在中國(guó)卻變成了世界第二大經(jīng)濟(jì)體
And its food is like that too,
食物也很充足
because 25 years ago, when I went throughout China,
25年前我走遍中國(guó)的時(shí)候
I was disappointed in Chinese food.
我對(duì)中餐很失望
Nobody cared about it, there was no passion.
那時(shí)沒(méi)人關(guān)注飲食，也沒(méi)有烹飪的激情
Now every place we've been to has been a more than pleasant surprise.
