anybody who likes to talk about 20th century literature

Always talks about Thomas Mann

Thomas Mann is really, really important,

and his first famous book was called Buddenbrooks

which was a name of the family,

but on the subtitle, In einer Familiar, decline of the family

And Mann talk a lot of stuff his books are very complicated,

but one of the things Mann, that is kind of in Mann books is,

that we exist on 3 levels

We exist on the physical, the mental,

and some of you would want to say, spiritual,

but probably in a general sense, so people aren't offended,

the magical, the word magical works very well

As long as people aren't offended,

like "I dare you to call Christianity magical "

Well you know, chill out

You know, we'll put on the magical

Basically what you'll find in his characters,

has, there's ascendency on one level, some other levels, give way

This isn't necessarly that you're 100% so if you gain 6% on the spiritual level,

you got a loose 6% somewhere else

But you know, it, it's really hard to do everything well

It's hard to look like Arnold, you know, to pump yourself up,

or be all cut and, and be as fit as you wanna be

and at the same time to do wonderfully in school,

on the same time pursue what you want to in, in a magical realm,

as far as spiritual development, I mean there's not so much time in a day

And that's why, you know, the kind of a joke about college students,

they don't go to church

Well you know, by the time you study, try to work out and party,

or party try to work out and go to school or whatever
