Happiness is what life's about

It doesn't matter how many yachts you have, what your title is, how much money you make, how many awards you got in life

The day you die if you've been running everything tight
在你臨死的那一天你仍然緊張地處理著一切
but another person is out on the streets homeless, smiling, telling jokes, having a fun time who would you rather be when you die?
而另外一個人則在外面的大街上無家可歸 面帶笑容講著笑話 過著快樂的時光 你在臨死的時候愿意做哪個人？
And I decided I'd rather be the fun person
我決定我更愿意做那個快樂的人
So H equals S minus F, happiness equals smiles minus frowns
所以說H等于S減F 快樂等于微笑減皺眉
Easy one. It led me to formulas in my life to avoid things that would eventually make me frown
很簡單吧 這讓我在生活中遵循公式去避免 會最終讓我皺眉的事情
Try to set yourself up so that things can happen not the way you would prefer but it doesn't necessarily have to make you frown
照顧好你自己 事情雖然不一定會按照你更喜歡的方式去發生 但它并不一定會讓你皺眉
I modified that formula in later years to H equals F cubed

Happiness equals food, fun and friends
快樂等于食物 樂趣和朋友
Food is of necessities of life
食物是生活的必需品
Fun is entertainment
樂趣就是娛樂
You gotta have that fun along with your productivity

And friends, the people you can roll ideas off to and get ideas and inspire you and support you through life I said this once at my high school and the kids started laughing
